    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

    JOB SUMMARY

    The incumbent will plan and conduct in assigned area public/client relations programs to create and maintain a favorable public image for the GSFC and provide timely and accurate information on services. This position provides detailed information on state and federal student financial aid and educational service programs to students, parents and the general public, to include informational sessions and training related to GAcollege411.org. Extensive travel is required and exceptional presentation skills are a necessity.

    POSITION:     Registrar Assistant                  LOCATION:   Dublin Campus

    Minimum Qualifications:    High School diploma or GED is required and minimum of two years of full-time paid work experience in office administrative support environment within the past five years.  Proficient in Office 2007.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Commitment to the team concept.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:   (In addition to the minimum qualifications)  A diploma or degree from a regional or nationally accredited institution in business or closely related field.  Administrative experience in an educational setting with the BANNER student information system or other data entry system.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:  Under close to general supervision, enters data and provides clerical and administrative support to the maintenance, registration, reporting, record retention and student records functions of the college.  Assists with graduation and registration activities.  Assists with basic questions and problems relative to the BANNER student information system.

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:           Full-time position, with some occasional evening work hours and overnight travel required.

  • Helms Career Institute, a non-profit school for the non traditional student is seeking a Dean of Student Services.  This position will be responsible for furthering oversight of the student services department as well as ACCET accreditation efforts and assuring compliance with accreditation standards once completed.  Other areas of responsibility for the position include: establishing student records procedures for Helms Career Institute and providing  assistance in recruiting potential students; maintaining  supply of materials and supervision of processing of forms. Administers approved assessment instrument(s) and other tests. Responsible for development of advisement/registration process. May collect and process class grades. May plan and implement graduation exercises. May serve as MIS Data Center contact. May supervise subordinate personnel.

    Position requires administrative experience with a post-secondary institution and an undergraduate degree in related area; graduate level degree preferred.
