Mid-Year Workshop
The GACRAO Midyear Staff Development Workshop will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the Anderson Conference Center in Macon, Georgia. Designed for front-line staff members, new professionals, and customer service professionals, a variety of breakout sessions will be offered. Whether you’re from a private, TCSG, or USG institution, we hope you’ll be pleased with the sessions and speakers. Registration closes on Friday, March 15 at noon. Based on space limitations, there will be no onsite/walk-in registration this year.

Call for Proposals
GACRAO's 60th annual conference will be held October 13-15, 2013 at the Brasstown Valley Resort in the mountains of north Georgia. We are seeking quality presenters for this year's conference. If you have expertise, have managed a successful initiative or solution, or have some outstanding advice to share with your GACRAO colleagues, then now is your chance!!! We need sessions in the areas of Admissions, Recruitment, Student Records and Registration, Professional Development, Professional Access and Equity, Technology and Enrollment Management. To submit a session proposal or to nominate a friend or colleague, please complete the session proposal form online before the deadline of Wednesday, May 1, 2013
GISEM
Applications are currently being accepted for the GISEM Registered Enrollment Professional class to begin at the 2013 conference. GISEM will again offer advanced enrollment management topics with experienced faculty in conjunction with the GACRAO conference. If you are an experienced enrollment professional, we would like to give you the first opportunity to help fill the next REP class. If you have not pursued the Registered Enrollment Professional endorsement you are encouraged to participate. The requirements for participation and the application can be found by clicking here. Applicants should review the qualifications, complete the application, and submit it along with a resume as directed. Applications can be mailed, emailed, or faxed to Clint Hobbs, GISEM Committee Chair, at clinth@yhc.edu or 706-379-3108. Applications should be received by September 1, 2013.
PAE Scholarship
The Professional Access and Equity Committee (PAE) is proud to announce the third annual PAE Annual Conference Scholarship. GACRAO is committed to fostering diversity and an atmosphere of inclusion in higher education for people of all backgrounds and sexual orientations. This year GACRAO's Executive Committee will award one PAE Annual Conference Scholarship for the 2013 GACRAO Annual Conference. This scholarship will include registration and lodging for the conference.
Who is eligible to apply? GACRAO active members who are from under-represented ethnic groups.
How to apply? Email a 500 word essay to Kathlyn Burden, PAE Chair at kburden@sctech.edu, responding to the following questions below. Please include your name, email address, institution, department, and position.
1. Why are you interested in attending the 2013 GACRAO Annual Conference?
2. How would attending the 2013 GACRAO Annual Conference assist you in achieving your professional goals?
3. Have you served on a GACRAO committee? If so which committee / year?
4. Please include any other accomplishments and achievements that you believe are relevant for this application. You may also include a professional resume.
The deadline to apply will be July 31, 2013. The winner will be notified via email by Friday, August 23, 2013.
2012-2013 Membership Dues
Membership Dues Invoices were mailed out on July 1st to the Registrar and Director of Admissions at each institution. Please pay your dues by September 1st. Also included with the invoice will be a membership directory update form. GACRAO is excited to announce that we have partnered with Cvent and are now able to accept dues payment via credit card.
